Murphys
The first few days at Murphy's were spent working on the software project for most of the day punctuated by trips into town for meals. There were quite a few to choose from and we had experienced most of them by the end of the trip. Suzanne and Alonzo's last full day there we drove to a swimming pool to cool off in the heat.
The software development took longer than I had anticipated. This was mostly because I was hoping to use it as a portfolio piece and was more focused on polish than I had been when I estimated the time required. Stu and I ended up sticking around for the weekend and continuing to each work on our projects. Saturday night we took a break to go see three comedians at a local comedy club. The audience was small which made for a very intimate show that was quite funny.
Oakland
The end of the weekend meant heading back down to Oakland for a few days. I continued working on the project there but spent Wednesday afternoon catching up with my cousin Tim in Berkeley whom I hadn't seen in a year. Stu and Suzanne were headed back up to Murphy's on Thursday which gave me somewhat of a hard deadline. I stayed up late the last night getting it to a stable place and then calling it quits for now.
