The rest of the drive to Medford was uneventful. As was the return of the rental and the bus connection over to Ashland. Once there we grabbed lunch, stopped by the outfitters to check the register, and then on to the co-op and then grocery store to resupply.

Getting out of town and back to the trail was tougher than expected, but once we had walked to the edge of town right by the highway entry ramp we had luck within minutes. Our ride dropped us off at Callahan's, a rustic B&B and lodge, where we checked in and set our stuff up in the back yard.

Then back inside for beer, a bottomless spaghetti dinner, and lots more trip planning. After coming up with an updated itinerary for the trip and a detailed plan for the next month we figured we were set. It had gotten dark outside at this point and we called it a night.
